I have always been one for being strong and passionate about things and I think that one story that has really educated my desires and given me strength and power is a movie called To Save a Life. We watched this movie in 'house groups' at my church. Ever since watching the movie, I feel like my life has changed. It taught me so much about how I view life and the importance of everything and what really matters. One line in the movie is when Chris says,
"Life is a journey, not so much to a destination, but a transformation."
I think this is so true because it is true that life is a destination and there is an end but within your life you can transform and become something to change someone's life. Which I think is true to me because I want to leave some kind of legacy when I leave this earth. I haven't figured out my purpose yet, but this movie showed me that everyone has one that is unique to them. Once I figure out my purpose, I can transform to meet the journey and destination at the end with the feeling of success.
Another line that I think demonstrates what educates my desire is when Chris also says, "But we have to remember, that even when we struggle to believe in Him, He always believes in us."
I think this line is really important because God is a strong leader in my life and I believe my religion plays a part in who I am today. I think that the line is true because no matter how we feel, if we're lacking faith and we need someone, God will always believe in us no matter what. He will never lose faith in us. I think this is a strong quote to show how my desires are educated because one of my desires is just to always stay faithful and know that I have someone supporting me at all times.
The movie To Save a Life has enriched me in different ways than I could have imagined. It was basically a life changing movie. I now strive to transform my life and live in a way that I will always make a difference and staying faithful and knowing that He is always on my side.
